केकयाधिपति: श्रीमान् राजाऽऽसीदकुतोभय:।
सहस्रचित्य इत्युक्त: शतयूपपितामह:॥ ६॥ |

| नारदजी बोले- राजन्! पूर्वकाल में केकय देश की प्रजा का पालन करने वाले सहस्रचित्य नाम के एक यशस्वी और प्रतापी राजा थे। वे किसी से नहीं डरते थे। वे यहाँ निवास करने वाले शत्युप ऋषि के दादा थे। |

| Naradji said- King! In the past there was a famous and illustrious king named Sahasrachitya who used to take care of the subjects of Kekaya country. He was never afraid of anyone. He was the grandfather of the sage Shatyupa who is residing here. |
