क्षत्रियों में भी जो राजसिंहासन पर आसीन होकर अपने धर्म का पालन करता है और अपनी प्रजा की अच्छी तरह रक्षा करता है, प्रजा की आय का छठा भाग कर के रूप में लेता है और उसी से सदैव संतुष्ट रहता है, यज्ञ और दान करता रहता है, धैर्यवान है, अपनी पत्नी से संतुष्ट है, शास्त्रों का पालन करता है, तत्व को जानता है और प्रजा के कल्याण के कार्यों में लगा रहता है, ब्राह्मणों की इच्छाओं को पूर्ण करता है, पौष्यवर्ग का पालन करने में तत्पर रहता है, अपनी प्रतिज्ञाओं का पालन करता है, सदैव पवित्र रहता है और लोभ तथा अहंकार का त्याग करता है, वह क्षत्रिय भी देवताओं द्वारा सेवित उत्तम गति को प्राप्त होता है।
Even among the Kshatriyas, the one who, after occupying the throne of the kingdom, follows his religion and protects his subjects well, takes one-sixth of the income of the people as tax and is always satisfied with that, keeps performing yajnas and donations, is patient, is satisfied with his wife, follows the scriptures, knows the essence and remains engaged in works for the welfare of the people, fulfils the desires of the Brahmins, is prompt in following the Poshyavarga, keeps his promises true, always remains pure and renounces greed and arrogance, that Kshatriya also attains the best destination served by the Gods.
