षष्ठे काले सदा विप्रो भुङ्क्ते तै: सह सुव्रत:।
षष्ठे काले कदाचित् तु तस्याहारो न विद्यते॥ २६॥
भुङ्क्तेऽन्यस्मिन् कदाचित् स षष्ठे काले द्विजोत्तम:। |

| वे श्रेष्ठ व्रतधारी ब्राह्मण अपनी स्त्री और बालकों के साथ सदैव षष्ठी काल में अर्थात् प्रत्येक तीन दिन में भोजन करते थे। यदि किसी दिन उस समय भोजन उपलब्ध न हो, तो केवल द्वितीय षष्ठी काल आने पर ही वे ब्राह्मण भोजन करते थे॥26 1/2॥ |
