इन्द्र उवाच
एहि गच्छ प्रहितो जातवेदो
बृहस्पतिं परिदातुं मरुत्ते।
अयं वै त्वां याजयिता बृहस्पति-
स्तथामरं चैव करिष्यतीति॥ ८॥ |

| तब इन्द्र ने अग्निदेव से कहा- जातवेद! यहाँ आओ और मेरा सन्देश मरुत्त के पास ले जाओ। मरुत्त की सलाह लेकर बृहस्पतिजी को उनके पास भेजो। वहाँ जाकर राजा से कहो कि 'बृहस्पतिजी ही तुम्हारा यज्ञ सम्पन्न करेंगे और वे ही तुम्हें अमर भी बना देंगे।' ॥8॥ |

| Then Indra said to Agnidev- Jaatveda! Come here and take my message to Marutta. After taking Marutta's advice, send Brihaspatiji to him. Go there and tell the king that 'It is Brihaspatiji who will perform your yagya and he will also make you immortal'. ॥ 8॥ |
