महदश्वसमायुक्तं बुद्धिसंयमनं रथम्।
समारुह्य स भूतात्मा समन्तात् परिधावति॥ ४॥
अनुवाद
इन्द्रियरूपी घोड़ों से जुते हुए और बुद्धिरूपी सारथि द्वारा नियंत्रित शरीररूपी रथ पर सवार होकर, क्षेत्रज्ञ आत्मा (आत्मा) सब दिशाओं में दौड़ती रहती है॥4॥
Riding on the chariot of the body, which is harnessed with horses in the form of the senses and controlled by the charioteer in the form of the intellect, the soul (knower of the field) keeps running in all directions. ॥ 4॥
