श्रद्धा, शील, त्याग, त्याग, पवित्रता, आलस्य से रहित होना, मृदुता, आसक्ति का अभाव, प्राणियों पर दया, चुगली न करना, प्रसन्नता, संतोष, अभिमानशून्यता, शील, सदाचार, शांतिमय कर्मों में शुद्ध प्रवृत्ति, उत्तम बुद्धि, आसक्ति से रहित होना, सांसारिक सुखों से उदासीनता, ब्रह्मचर्य, सब प्रकार का त्याग, निर्दयता, फल की इच्छा न करना और निरन्तर धर्म का पालन करना - ये सब सत्त्वगुण के कार्य हैं ॥6-8॥
Faith, modesty, renunciation, renunciation, purity, being free from laziness, softness, lack of attachment, kindness to living beings, not gossiping, joy, contentment, pridelessness, modesty, good behaviour, pure inclination to do peaceful deeds, good intelligence, freedom from attachment, indifference from worldly pleasures, celibacy, renunciation of all kinds, ruthlessness, not desiring fruit and continuously following Dharma - all these. These are the works of Sattva Guna. 6-8॥
