अलर्क उवाच
मनसो मे बलं जातं मनो जित्वा ध्रुवो जय:।
अन्यत्र बाणान् धास्यामि शत्रुभि: परिवारित:॥ ५॥ |

| अलर्क बोला, "मुझे मन से ही शक्ति मिली है, इसलिए मन ही सबसे अधिक शक्तिशाली है। मन पर विजय पाकर ही मैं स्थायी विजय प्राप्त कर सकता हूँ। मैं इन्द्रियरूपी शत्रुओं से घिरा हुआ हूँ, इसलिए बाह्य शत्रुओं पर आक्रमण करने के स्थान पर मैं इन आन्तरिक शत्रुओं को ही अपने बाणों का लक्ष्य बनाऊँगा।" |
