यतिरुवाच
अक्षरं च क्षरं चैव द्वैधीभावोऽयमात्मन:।
अक्षरं तत्र सद्भाव: स्वभाव: क्षर उच्यते॥ २२॥ |

| ऋषि बोले, "आत्मा के दो रूप हैं - एक अक्षर और दूसरा क्षर। जिसका अस्तित्व तीनों कालों में कभी नष्ट नहीं होता, उसे अक्षर (अविनाशी) कहते हैं और जिसका सब कालों में अभाव रहता है, उसे क्षर कहते हैं॥ 22॥ |

| The sage said, "The soul has two forms - one is akshara and the other is kshaar. The one whose existence never vanishes in the three periods of time is called akshara (indestructible) and the one which is absent in all the periods is called kshaar.॥ 22॥ |
