अर्थानिष्टान् कामयते स्वभाव:
सर्वान् द्वेष्यान् प्रद्विषते स्वभाव:।
कामद्वेषावुद्भवत: स्वभावात्
प्राणापानौ जन्तुदेहान्निवेश्य॥ २॥ |

| प्रकृति ही इच्छित वस्तुओं की इच्छा करती है, प्रकृति ही सभी घृणित वस्तुओं से द्वेष रखती है। जैसे प्राण और अपान स्वभावतः ही प्राणियों के शरीर में प्रवेश करके अन्न आदि पचाने का कार्य करते हैं, वैसे ही राग और द्वेष स्वभावतः ही उत्पन्न होते हैं। तात्पर्य यह है कि बुद्धि आदि इन्द्रियाँ स्वभावतः ही पदार्थों में कार्यरत रहती हैं। 2॥ |
