संकल्पदंशमशकं शोकहर्षहिमातपम्।
मोहान्धकारतिमिरं लोभव्याधिसरीसृपम्॥ १॥
विषयैकात्ययाध्वानं कामक्रोधविरोधकम्।
तदतीत्य महादुर्गं प्रविष्टोऽस्मि महद् वनम्॥ २॥ | | | | | | अनुवाद | | ब्राह्मण बोला - "प्रिये! जहाँ मच्छर और विचाररूपी मक्खियाँ भरी पड़ी हैं, जहाँ दुःख और सुख की गर्मी और सर्दी कष्टदायक हैं, जहाँ मोह का अंधकार फैला हुआ है, जहाँ लोभ और रोगरूपी सर्प विचरण करते हैं, जहाँ केवल सांसारिक सुखों का मार्ग है, जिस पर अकेले ही चलना पड़ता है और जहाँ काम और क्रोधरूपी शत्रु डेरा डाले हुए हैं, उस संसाररूपी दुर्गम मार्ग को पार करके अब मैं ब्रह्मा के महान् वन में प्रवेश कर चुका हूँ॥1-2॥ | | | | The Brahmin said, "Dear! Where the mosquitoes and the gnats of thoughts abound, where the heat and cold of sorrow and happiness are painful, where the darkness of delusion is spread, where the serpents of greed and disease roam about, where there is only the path of worldly pleasures, which has to be traversed alone and where the enemies in the form of lust and anger are camping, after crossing that difficult path of the world, I have now entered the great forest of Brahma.॥ 1-2॥ | |
