यह सुनकर अपान भी पहले की भाँति चलने लगा। तब व्यान ने उससे पुनः कहा- 'मैं ही श्रेष्ठ हूँ। मेरी श्रेष्ठता का क्या कारण है? उसे सुनो।॥13॥
