ब्राह्मण उवाच
अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम्।
सुभगे सप्तहोतॄणां विधानमिह यादृशम्॥ १॥
अनुवाद
ब्राह्मण ने कहा, "हे शुभ! इस प्रसंग में यह प्राचीन इतिहास भी उद्धृत है। सात होताओं द्वारा किये जाने वाले यज्ञ का विधान सुनिए।"
