अपरिज्ञातपूर्वाश्च गणपुत्राश्च ये द्विजा:।
पुत्रिकापुत्रकाश्चापि श्राद्धे नार्हन्ति सत्कृतिम्॥
अनुवाद
जो पराये हैं, जो किसी भी समुदाय के पुत्र हैं, अर्थात जिनके पिता का पता नहीं है और जो पुत्रवधू के धर्म के अनुसार अपने नाना के घर में रहते हैं, वे ब्राह्मण भी श्राद्ध करने के अधिकारी नहीं हैं।
Those who are strangers, who are sons of any community, i.e. those whose father is not known and who live in their maternal grandfather's house according to the daughter-in-law's religion, those Brahmins are also not entitled to perform Shraddha.
