श्रीभगवानुवाच
दैवं पूर्वाह्णिकं ज्ञेयं पैतृकं चापराह्णिकम्।
कालहीनं च यद् दानं तद् दानं राजसं विदु:॥ |

| श्री भगवान बोले- युधिष्ठिर! देवकर्म (यज्ञ) प्रातःकाल और पितृकर्म (श्राद्ध) मध्याह्न काल में करना चाहिए। जो दान अनुचित समय पर किया जाता है, वह राजस माना जाता है। |

| Shri Bhagwan said- Yudhishthira! Devkarma (Yagya) should be done in the morning and Pitrakarma (Shraddha) should be done in the afternoon. The donation which is done at an inappropriate time is considered to be Rajas. |
