एतै: कर्मगुणैर्लोके नामाग्ने: परिगीयते॥ ७८॥
हिरण्यरेता इति वै ऋषिभिर्विबुधैस्तथा।
पृथिवी च तदा देवी ख्याता वसुमतीति वै॥ ७९॥
अनुवाद
इन सब कर्मों और गुणों के कारण ही देवता और ऋषिगण संसार में अग्नि को हिरण्यरेता नाम से पुकारते हैं। उस समय अग्निजन्य मृग (वसु) को धारण करने के कारण पृथ्वी देवी वसुमती नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुईं।
Because of all these deeds and qualities, the gods and sages call Agni in the world by the name of Hiranyareta. At that time, due to wearing the fire-born deer (Vasu), the earth goddess became famous by the name Vasumati.
