कीर्तितं पुरुषव्याघ्र सर्वपापविमोचनम्।
य इदं कथयेन्नित्यं ब्राह्मणेभ्य: समाहित:॥ ४८॥
हव्यकव्येषु यज्ञेषु पितृकार्येषु चैव ह।
सार्वकामिकमक्षय्यं पितृृंस्तस्योपतिष्ठते॥ ४९॥ |

| हे पुरुषसिंह! यदि इसका पाठ किया जाए, तो यह सब पापों से मुक्ति दिलाने वाला है। जो मनुष्य एकाग्रचित्त होकर यज्ञ और श्राद्ध में आहुति देते समय ब्राह्मणों को यह प्रसंग सुनाता है, उसके द्वारा दिया गया आहुति और तर्पण समस्त कामनाओं को पूर्ण करता है और अक्षय होकर पितरों को प्राप्त होता है। |

| O purushsingh! If this is recited, it will liberate one from all sins. One who is focused and always narrates this episode to the Brahmins while offering oblations and offerings in yagnas and shraddhas, the oblations and offerings given by him will fulfill all desires and will reach the ancestors as they become inexhaustible. |
