क्षेत्रजं केचिदेवाहु: सुतं केचित्तु शुक्रजम्।
तुल्यावेतौ सुतौ कस्य तन्मे ब्रूहि पितामह॥ १२॥ |

| युधिष्ठिर ने पूछा - पितामह! कुछ लोग अपनी पत्नी के गर्भ से उत्पन्न किसी भी प्रकार के पुत्र को अपना पुत्र मानते हैं और कुछ लोग केवल अपने वीर्य से उत्पन्न पुत्र को ही अपना पुत्र मानते हैं। क्या वे दोनों एक ही श्रेणी के पुत्र हैं? उन पर किसका अधिकार है? उन्हें जन्म देने वाली स्त्री के पति का या उन्हें गर्भाधान कराने वाले पुरुष का? यह मुझे बताइए॥12॥ |
