देवर्षिपितृतीर्थानि ब्राह्मं मध्येऽथ वैष्णवम्।
नृणां तीर्थानि पञ्चाहु: पाणौ संनिहितानि वै॥ | | | | | | अनुवाद | | नारदजी बोले - बुद्धिमान पुरुष कहते हैं कि मनुष्यों के हाथ में पाँच तीर्थ होते हैं। उनके नाम इस प्रकार हैं - देवतीर्थ, ऋषितीर्थ, पितृतीर्थ, ब्रह्मतीर्थ और वैष्णवीतीर्थ। (अंगुलियों के अग्रभाग में देवतीर्थ होता है। कनिष्ठिका और अनामिका के मूल में अर्शतीर्थ होता है। इसे कायतीर्थ और प्रजापत्यतीर्थ भी कहते हैं। अंगूठे और तर्जनी के मध्य भाग में पितृतीर्थ होता है। अंगूठे के मूल भाग में ब्रह्मतीर्थ और हथेली के मध्य भाग में वैष्णवीतीर्थ होता है।)॥ | | | | Naradji said – Wise men say that there are five places of pilgrimage in the hands of human beings.
