बीज बोना और काटना मनुष्य का काम है; किन्तु समय पर वर्षा होना, बोआई का अच्छा परिणाम, बीजों का अंकुरित होना और व्यवस्थित रूप से फसल का उगना, ये सब देवताओं के कार्य हैं। ये कार्य देवताओं की कृपा से ही संपन्न होते हैं।
Sowing and harvesting of seeds is the work of man; however, timely rains, good results of sowing, sprouting of seeds and appearance of crops in a systematic manner are the works of the gods. These works are accomplished only with the favour of the gods.
