इसलिए, वे इस संसार में अपने पूर्वजन्मों का ज्ञान लेकर जन्म लेते हैं और जातिस्मर (पूर्वजन्मों को याद रखने वाले) कहलाते हैं। फिर, जैसे-जैसे वे बड़े होते हैं, उनकी पुरानी स्वप्न-जैसी स्मृतियाँ लुप्त होने लगती हैं। ऐसी घटनाएँ मूर्ख लोगों को परलोक के अस्तित्व में विश्वास दिलाती हैं।
Therefore, they are born in this world with the knowledge of their previous lives and are called Jatismara (those who remember their previous lives). Then, as they grow older, their old dream-like memories start vanishing. Such incidents cause foolish people to believe in the existence of the other world.
