संग्रामेषु न युध्यन्ते भृत्याश्चैवानुरूपत:॥
नरकं यान्ति ते घोरं भर्तृपिण्डापहारिण:॥
अनुवाद
जो लोग 'अहिंसा परम धर्म' को मानते हैं, वे भी यदि राजा के सेवक हैं और उनसे भोजन-आहार प्राप्त करते हैं, तो ऐसी स्थिति में भी यदि वे अपनी शक्ति के अनुसार युद्ध नहीं करते, तो वे घोर नरक में जाते हैं; क्योंकि वे अपने स्वामी का अन्न हड़पने वाले होते हैं।
Even those who believe that 'non-violence is the supreme religion', if they are servants of the king and get sustenance and food from him, even in such a condition if they do not fight in the battles according to their strength, then they end up in a terrible hell; because they are the ones who usurp the food of their master.
