एवमेतत् पुरा दृष्टं कुलवृद्धैर्द्विजातिभि:।
तस्माद् वर्ज्यानि वर्ज्यानि कार्यं कार्यं च नित्यश:॥ ६८॥
भूतिकामेन मर्त्येन सत्यमेतद् ब्रवीमि ते।
अनुवाद
इस प्रकार श्रेष्ठ कुल में उत्पन्न ब्राह्मणों ने पूर्वकाल में यह देखा और अनुभव किया है; अतः जो मनुष्य अपना कल्याण चाहते हैं, उन्हें चाहिए कि वे शास्त्रों में त्याज्य कहे गए कर्मों का त्याग कर दें और सदैव कर्तव्य कर्म करते रहें। मैं तुमसे सत्य कहता हूँ।
In this way, Brahmins born in noble families have seen and experienced this in the past; therefore, people who want their own welfare should give up those activities which are said to be avoided in the scriptures and should always perform the duty. I am telling you the truth. 68 1/2.
