रक्तमाल्यं न धार्यं स्याच्छुक्लं धार्यं तु पण्डितै:।
वर्जयित्वा तु कमलं तथा कुवलयं प्रभो॥ ८३॥
अनुवाद
प्रभु! विद्वान पुरुष को श्वेत पुष्पों की माला धारण करनी चाहिए, लाल पुष्पों की नहीं; तथापि यह नियम तभी लागू होता है जब कमल और पुष्प-अंगुली को छोड़ दिया जाए। अर्थात् कमल और पुष्प-अंगुली लाल होने पर भी उन्हें धारण करने में कोई हानि नहीं है ॥ 83॥
Prabhu! A learned man should wear a garland of white flowers, not red flowers; however, this rule applies only when the lotus and the flower-ring are left out. That is, even if the lotus and the flower-ring are red, there is no harm in wearing them. ॥ 83॥
