गौतम उवाच
वैवस्वती संयमनी जनानां
यत्रानृतं नोच्यते यत्र सत्यम्।
यत्राबला बलिनं यातयन्ति
तत्र त्वाहं हस्तिनं यातयिष्ये॥ १६॥ |

| गौतम बोले - "जिस स्थान पर कोई झूठ नहीं बोलता, जहाँ सदा सत्य बोला जाता है और जहाँ दुर्बल भी बलवानों से अपने साथ हुए अन्याय का बदला लेते हैं, वह मनुष्यों को वश में रखने वाला यमराज का नगर संयमनी नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। वहीं मैं तुमसे अपना हाथी ले लूँगा॥ 16॥ |

| Gautama said, "The place where no one lies, where the truth is always spoken and where even the weak take revenge from the strong for the injustice done to them, that city of Yamaraja which keeps men under control is famous by the name of Sanyamani.
