यही देवताओं का निश्चय है और यही वेदों का शाश्वत सिद्धान्त है। धन से ही ब्राह्मण वेद-शास्त्रों का पठन-पाठन करते हैं, धन से ही यज्ञ करते और करवाते हैं तथा युद्ध में पराजय से प्राप्त धन से ही राजा लोग समस्त शुभ कर्म करते हैं। हम किसी राजा के पास ऐसा धन नहीं देखते जो दूसरों को कष्ट देकर अर्जित न किया गया हो॥ 29-30॥
This is the determination of the gods and this is the eternal principle of the Vedas. It is with money that the Brahmins read and teach the Vedas and scriptures, it is with money that they perform and get the yajnas performed and the kings perform all the auspicious deeds with the money they get after defeating others in war. We do not see any king having any such wealth which has not been acquired by harming others.॥ 29-30॥
