कामं नैतत् तवाख्येयं प्राणिनां प्रभवाप्ययौ।
उपदेष्टुं भवान् शक्तो देवानामपि भारत॥ १७॥ |

| भरतनन्दन! आपसे यह कहना कदापि उचित नहीं है कि ‘सभी प्राणियों का जन्म-मरण प्रारब्ध के अनुसार ही होता है। अतः आपको इसे ईश्वर का विधान मानकर मन में शोक नहीं करना चाहिए।’ आपको कोई क्या उपदेश दे सकता है? आप तो देवताओं को भी उपदेश देने में समर्थ हैं।॥17॥ |
