| समय बीतने पर दुष्ट मनुष्य अपने अत्याचारों से पृथ्वी को कष्ट देने लगे। इस उत्पात के कारण पृथ्वी शीघ्र ही रसातल में जाने लगी; क्योंकि उस समय धर्मरक्षक क्षत्रियों द्वारा पृथ्वी की उचित रीति से रक्षा नहीं की जा रही थी। |

| With the passage of time, evil men started tormenting the earth with their atrocities. Due to this upheaval, the earth soon started entering the abyss; because at that time the earth was not being protected in a proper manner by the Dharma-protecting Kshatriyas. 70-71. |
