जिस प्रकार कोई व्यक्ति खैर की लकड़ी या पत्थर का सहारा लेकर समुद्र पार करने का प्रयास करता है, वह बीच में ही डूब जाता है, उसी प्रकार पुजारी और भक्त दोनों ही, जो निर्धारित अनुष्ठानों का पालन किए बिना दान देते और लेते हैं, डूब जाते हैं।
