वृषाकपिरुवाच
अहं हि पितर: स्रष्टुमुद्यतो लोककृत् स्वयम्।
यस्य चिन्तयत: सद्य: पितृकार्यविधीन् परान्॥ १८॥
दंष्ट्राभ्यां प्रविनिर्धूता ममैते दक्षिणां दिशम्।
आश्रिता धरणीं पिण्डास्तस्मात् पितर एव ते॥ १९॥ |

| भगवान वराह बोले - मैं सम्पूर्ण लोकों का रचयिता हूँ। जब मैं स्वयं पितरों की सृष्टि के लिए तत्पर हुआ और पितृकर्म से संबंधित अन्य अनुष्ठानों का विचार करने लगा, उसी समय मेरे दो दाढ़ों से दक्षिण दिशा की ओर ये तीनों शरीर पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़े; अतः ये शरीर पितर रूप हैं। 18-19॥ |

| Lord Varaha said – I am the creator of all the worlds. When I myself was ready for the creation of ancestors and started thinking about other rituals related to ancestral work, at that very moment these three bodies fell on the earth from my two molars towards the south; Hence these bodies are in the form of ancestors. 18-19॥ |
