इत्यर्थं निर्मिता वेदा यज्ञाश्चौषधिभि: सह॥ ६६॥
एभि: सम्यक् प्रयुक्तैर्हि प्रीयन्ते देवता: क्षितौ। |

| इसी हेतु से मैंने वेदों और यज्ञों तथा औषधियों (अन्न, फल आदि) की रचना की है। यदि पृथ्वी पर इनका विधिपूर्वक अनुष्ठान किया जाए, तो सभी देवता संतुष्ट हो जाएँगे। |
