मनुष्य ने जो भी कर्म किया है, वह उसका पीछा करता रहता है। यदि कर्ता तेजी से दौड़ता है, तो वह भी उसी गति से उसके पीछे चलता है। जब वह सोता है, तो उसके कर्मों का फल भी उसके साथ सो जाता है। जब वह खड़ा होता है, तो वह भी उसके पास खड़ा रहता है और जब कोई व्यक्ति चलता है, तो वह भी उसके पीछे चलने लगता है। इतना ही नहीं, कोई भी कर्म करते समय भी कर्म का संस्कार उसका पीछा नहीं छोड़ता। वह छाया की तरह सदैव पीछे ही रहता है ॥8-9॥
Whatever deed a person has done, it keeps following him. If the doer runs fast, then he also goes after him with the same speed. When he sleeps, then the result of his deeds also sleeps with him. When he stands, he also stands near him and when a person walks, he also starts walking behind him. Not only this, even while doing any work, the sanskar of karma does not leave him. It always remains behind like a shadow. ॥ 8-9॥
