जैसे कमल पृथक् वस्तु है और जल पृथक् वस्तु है, अतः जल के स्पर्श से कमल कलंकित नहीं होता। उसी प्रकार पुरुष भी प्रकृति से पृथक् और अनासक्त है॥16॥
Just as the lotus is a separate thing and water is a separate thing, the lotus is not stained by the touch of water. In the same way, the man is also separate and unattached from nature.॥ 16॥
