वाक्सायका वदनान्निष्पतन्ति
यैराहत: शोचति रात्र्यहानि।
परस्य नामर्मसु ते पतन्ति
तान् पण्डितो नावसृजेत् परेषु॥ ९॥ |

| जब मुख से वचन रूपी बाण निकलते हैं, तो उनसे बिंधे हुए मनुष्य दिन-रात दुःख में डूबे रहते हैं; क्योंकि वे दूसरों की भावनाओं को ठेस पहुँचाते हैं, इसलिए विद्वान् पुरुष को चाहिए कि दूसरे व्यक्ति पर वचन रूपी बाण का प्रयोग न करे॥9॥ |
