देवाधिदेव महादेवजी को प्रसन्न करके उनका आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करके महर्षि उशना इसी नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुए। उसी समय देवी पार्वती की स्तुति करके वे प्रसिद्ध ऋषि आकाश में ग्रह रूप में स्थित होकर आनन्दपूर्वक आनन्दित हो रहे हैं।
