न कामाननुरुद्धॺेत दु:खं कामेषु वै रति:।
प्राप्यार्थमुपयुञ्जीत धर्मं कामान् विसर्जयेत्॥ ९॥ |

| अतः कामनाओं या भोगों की वृद्धि पर जोर नहीं देना चाहिए। भोगों में आसक्ति स्वयं दुःख का ही एक रूप है। यदि धन भी मिले, तो उसका उपयोग धर्म के लिए करना चाहिए। विषय-भोगों का सर्वथा त्याग कर देना चाहिए॥9॥ |

| Therefore, one should not insist on increasing desires or pleasures. Attachment to pleasures is itself a form of sorrow. Even if one gets wealth, it should be used for Dharma. Sensual pleasures should be completely abandoned.॥ 9॥ |
