पाँच महाभूत, काल, शुद्ध भाव और अभाव, अर्थात् सनातन आत्मा और परिवर्तनशील महातत्त्व - ये आठ तत्त्व सनातन हैं। ये ही जीवों की उत्पत्ति और विनाश के स्थान हैं। 9॥
The five great elements, time, pure emotion and absence, i.e. the eternal self and the changeable mahatattva – these eight elements are eternal. These are the places of origin and destruction of living beings. 9॥
