शास्त्रों का यथार्थ अर्थ न जानने के कारण वे शास्त्रदस्यु (शास्त्रों का अर्थ लूटने वाले डाकू) कहलाते हैं। सर्वव्यापी ब्रह्म की निन्दा करने के कारण उन्हें ब्रह्मचारी की उपाधि से विभूषित किया जाता है। वे शम-दम आदि कर्म कभी नहीं करते तथा अभिमान और मोह के वश में रहते हैं। 53॥
Because of not knowing the true meaning of the scriptures, they are called Shastradasyu (robbers who plunder the meaning of the scriptures). Because of defaming the omnipresent Brahma, he is honored with the title of celibate. They never perform rituals like Sham-Dum etc. and remain under the influence of pride and fascination. 53॥
