युधिष्ठिर उवाच
शरीरमापदश्चापि विवदन्त्यविहिंसत:।
कथं यात्रा शरीरस्य निरारम्भस्य सेत्स्यते॥ १३॥ |

| युधिष्ठिर ने पूछा - पितामह ! जो मनुष्य हिंसा से दूर रहता है, उसका शरीर और आपत्तियाँ आपस में वाद-विवाद करने लगती हैं - आपत्तियाँ शरीर का शोषण करती हैं और शरीर आपत्तियों का नाश करना चाहता है; अतः जो मनुष्य सूक्ष्म हिंसा के भय से कृषि आदि कोई भी कार्य आरम्भ नहीं करता, उसकी देह यात्रा कैसे चलेगी ? 13॥ |
