इस गृहस्थाश्रम के बाद तीसरा तथा उससे भी उत्तम वानप्रस्थ आश्रम है; जो शरीर को सुखाकर, हड्डियों से चमड़ा निकालकर, वन में रहकर तपस्या द्वारा शरीर त्यागने वाले वानप्रस्थियों का आश्रय है। यह गृहस्थ आश्रमों में श्रेष्ठ माना गया है। अब मैं तुम्हें इसका तत्त्व बताता हूँ, सुनो।
After this Grahasthashram, the third and even better is the most generous Vanaprastha Ashram; which is the shelter of the Vanaprasthis who dry up their bodies and remove the skin from their bones and who live in the forest and give up their bodies through austerity.
