अपानाक्ष: प्राणयुग: प्रज्ञायुर्जीवबन्धन:॥ ९॥
चेतनाबन्धुरश्चारुश्चाचारग्रहनेमिमान् ।
दर्शनस्पर्शनवहो घ्राणश्रवणवाहन:॥ १०॥
प्रज्ञानाभि: सर्वतन्त्रप्रतोदो ज्ञानसारथि:।
क्षेत्रज्ञाधिष्ठितो धीर: श्रद्धादमपुर:सर:॥ ११॥
त्यागसूक्ष्मानुग: क्षेम्य: शौचगो ध्यानगोचर:।
जीवयुक्तो रथो दिव्यो ब्रह्मलोके विराजते॥ १२॥ | | | | | | अनुवाद | | यह योग एक सुंदर रथ है। धर्म इसका पिछला भाग या आसन है। शील इसका आवरण है। पूर्वोक्त उपाय और अपाय इसके कूबड़ हैं। अपान वायु धुरी है। प्राण वायु जुआ है। बुद्धि आयु है। प्राण बंधन है। चेतना बंधन है। सदाचार को अपनाना इस रथ का किनारा है। आँख, त्वचा, नाक और कान इसके वाहन हैं। बुद्धि नाभि है। सभी शास्त्र चाबुक हैं। ज्ञान सारथी है। क्षेत्रज्ञ (आत्मा) इस पर सारथी के रूप में विराजमान है। यह रथ धीरे-धीरे चलता है। श्रद्धा और इन्द्रिय संयम इस रथ के आगे चलने वाले रक्षक हैं। त्याग के सूक्ष्म गुण इसके अनुचर (पीठ-रक्षक) हैं। यह शुभ रथ ध्यान के पवित्र मार्ग पर चलता है। इस प्रकार जीवों से युक्त यह दिव्य रथ ब्रह्मलोक में विराजमान होता है। अर्थात् इसके द्वारा जीव परम ब्रह्म, परमात्मा को प्राप्त होता है। | | | | This Yoga is a beautiful chariot. Dharma is its rear part or seat. Modesty is its cover. The aforementioned remedies and apaayas are its hump. Apana Vayu is the axle. Prana Vayu is the yoke. Wisdom is the age. Life is the bond. Consciousness is the bond. Accepting good conduct is the rim of this chariot. Eyes, skin, nose and ears are its vehicles. Wisdom is the navel. All scriptures are the whip. Knowledge is the charioteer. The knower of the field (soul) is seated on it as a charioteer. This chariot moves slowly. Faith and sense control are the protectors going ahead of this chariot. The subtle qualities of renunciation are its followers (back-protectors). This auspicious chariot moves on the sacred path of meditation.
