यद्वत् कान्तारमातिष्ठन्नौत्सुक्यं समनुव्रजेत्।
ग्राम्यमाहारमादद्यादस्वाद्वपि हि यापनम्॥ १३॥
तद्वत् संसारकान्तारमातिष्ठन् श्रमतत्पर:।
यात्रार्थमद्यादाहारं व्याधितो भेषजं यथा॥ १४॥ |

| जैसे वन में रहने वाला संन्यासी स्वादिष्ट भोजन (मिष्ठान्न आदि) की इच्छा नहीं करता। वह अपने शरीर के निर्वाह के लिए रूखा-सूखा ग्रामीण भोजन भी ग्रहण कर सकता है, वैसे ही संसार रूपी वन में रहने वाले गृहस्थ को भी जीवन निर्वाह के लिए कठोर परिश्रम करते हुए शुद्ध सात्विक भोजन करना चाहिए। जैसे रोगी अपने प्राणों की रक्षा के लिए औषधि ग्रहण करता है॥13-14॥ |

He can also consume dry rural food for the sustenance of his body, similarly a householder living in the forest of the world should engage in hard work and consume pure sattvik food for the mere sustenance of his life.
