जैसे अग्नि लकड़ी में व्याप्त रहती है, परन्तु उसे काटने पर भी दिखाई नहीं देती, वैसे ही आत्मा शरीर में निवास करती है, परन्तु दिखाई नहीं देती; उसे केवल योग के द्वारा ही देखा जा सकता है। जैसे मथनी आदि साधनों से लकड़ी को मथने पर अग्नि दिखाई देती है, वैसे ही शरीर में निवास करने वाली आत्मा को योग के द्वारा देखा जा सकता है। ॥41-42॥
Just as fire pervades wood but is not visible even if it is cut, similarly the soul resides in the body but is not visible; it can be seen only through yoga. Just as fire is made visible by churning wood through means like churning, similarly the soul residing in the body can be seen through yoga. ॥41-42॥
