जैसे घड़े के अन्दर रखा हुआ दीपक घड़े के छिद्रों से प्रकाश फैलाकर विषयों का बोध कराता है, वैसे ही शरीर के अन्दर स्थित परमात्मा सातों इन्द्रियों तथा कर्म और ज्ञान से रहित मन-बुद्धि के द्वारा सम्पूर्ण विषयों का बोध कराता है ॥ 42॥
Just as a lamp placed inside a pot spreads its light through the holes in the pot and makes one aware of the objects, similarly, the Supreme Being residing within the body makes one experience all the objects through the seven senses and the mind and intellect, which are devoid of action and knowledge. ॥ 42॥
