भूमेर्गन्धगुणान् वेत्ति रसं चाद्भ्य: शरीरवान्।

| जीव भूमि से ही (अर्थात घ्राणेन्द्रिय से) गंध का अनुभव करता है, जलेन्द्रिय से देहधारी मनुष्य रस का आस्वादन करता है, तेजोमय नेत्र से रूप का ज्ञान करता है और वायुेन्द्रिय से स्पर्श का ज्ञान प्राप्त करता है ॥26॥ |

| The living being experiences the quality of smell through the ground itself (i.e. through the olfactory sense), through the water-related sense organ the embodied man tastes the juice, through the luminous eye he comes to know about form and through the air-related skin organ he gets the knowledge of touch. 26॥ |
