जो पत्तों पर रहते हैं, जो पत्थरों पर पीसकर या दाँतों से चबाकर भोजन करते हैं (अर्थात जो चक्की में पीसा हुआ या ओखली में कूटा हुआ भोजन नहीं खाते) तथा जो जल या वायु पर निर्वाह करते हैं, वे ही तपस्वी पुरुष नरक को जीत लेते हैं ॥11॥
Those who live on leaves, those who eat food after grinding it on stones or chewing it with their teeth (i.e. those who do not eat food ground in a mill or pounded in a mortar) and those who survive on water or air, only those ascetic men have conquered hell. ॥11॥
