युधिष्ठिर उवाच
इमे जना नरश्रेष्ठ प्रशंसन्ति सदा भुवि।
धर्मस्य शीलमेवादौ ततो मे संशयो महान्॥ १॥
अनुवाद
युधिष्ठिर ने पूछा - नरश्रेष्ठ! पितामह! ये सभी लोग पृथ्वी पर सर्वप्रथम धर्मानुसार गुणों की प्रशंसा करते हैं। अतः मुझे इस विषय में बड़ा संदेह है। 1॥
Yudhishthir asked – Narashrestha! Grandfather! All these people on the earth first of all praise the virtues according to the religion. Therefore, I have great doubts about this matter. 1॥
