न बहूनभियुञ्जीत यौगपद्येन शात्रवान्।
साम्ना दानेन भेदेन दण्डेन च पुरंदर॥ ३६॥
एकैकमेषां निष्पिष्य शिष्टेषु निपुणं चरेत्।
न तु शक्तोऽपि मेधावी सर्वानेवारभेन्नृप:॥ ३७॥ |

| अनुवाद |
| पुरंदर! एक साथ अनेक शत्रुओं पर आक्रमण नहीं करना चाहिए। इन शत्रुओं को साम, दान, भेद और दण्ड से एक-एक करके कुचलने के पश्चात्, शेष शत्रुओं को कुशलतापूर्वक कुचलने का प्रयत्न करना चाहिए। चाहे कोई बुद्धिमान राजा शक्तिशाली ही क्यों न हो, उसे एक साथ सभी शत्रुओं को कुचलना आरम्भ नहीं करना चाहिए। 36-37 |

| Purandar! One should not attack many enemies at the same time. After crushing these enemies one by one by means of Sama, Daan, Bhed and Danda, one should skillfully start trying to crush the remaining enemies. Even if a wise king is powerful, he should not start crushing all the enemies at the same time. 36-37. |
