वह पास ही खड़े हुए श्रीकृष्ण से कहने लगी - 'वृष्णिनन्दन! प्रभु! जब भाई-बन्धुओं का नाश करने वाला यह घोर युद्ध आरम्भ हो गया था, उस समय यह महाबली राजा दुर्योधन हाथ जोड़कर मुझसे कहने लगा - 'माते! इस कुटुम्बियों के युद्ध में मेरी विजय के लिए कृपा कीजिए।' ॥5-6॥
