दुर्योधन लोभी और अदूरदर्शी था। अपनी मूर्खता के कारण उसने न तो किसी का सहयोग लिया और न ही अधिक विचार किया। उसने अपना कल्याण चाहने वालों का अनादर किया और दुष्टों से परामर्श लिया तथा सबके विरोध के बावजूद भी वह अधिक प्रतिभाशाली पांडवों के प्रति शत्रुतापूर्ण हो गया।
Duryodhan was greedy and short-sighted. Due to his foolishness, he neither took support from anyone nor did he think much. He disrespected the people who wanted his welfare and took advice from the wicked and despite everyone's objection, he became hostile towards the more talented Pandavas. 25-26 1/2.
