तदनन्तर जब सूर्यदेव सबसे ऊँचे पर्वत अस्ताचल पर पहुँचे, तब सम्पूर्ण जगत को अपनी गोद में धात्री के समान विश्राम देने वाली रात्रिदेवी सर्वत्र व्याप्त हो गईं॥24॥
Thereafter, when the Sun God reached Astachal, the highest mountain, the Night Goddess, who like a nurse gives rest to the entire world in her lap, became dominant everywhere. 24॥
